... the point is that the legal versions of the main ED meds are now available in Thailand... for obvious reasons, they previously chose not to compete with the illegal trade.
... but... to GET the legal meds, available from real pharmacies (Watson's, Boots, international hospital pharamcies), you do have to have a prescription.
... I've done the real meds... I've also done plenty of the knock-offs here... they are NOT the same as the authentic versions... the knock-offs contain only a fraction of the active ingredients, and who knows what else.
... you pay more for the real stuff, but the effect is notably better.

... a post earlier in this thread reported on a clinic near Victory Monument BTS Station that made a quick prescription at very nearly no cost... it's an easy trip, 5-6 stations down the line from Nana.
... I noted also that Bumrungrad is now prescribing them... http://www.bumrungrad.com... Bumrungrad is located only 5 minutes walk from Nana... I think prescriptions there are limited only to their own pharmacy... their policy states that they are reluctant to expose patients to the uncertainties of the Thai pharmacies (quite a valid concern)... I'm sure there is a profit motive there, as well.
... if you try both the authentic pills and the knock-offs in the local-local pharmacies, your own comparative analysis would be interesting.
... and, get ready to enjoy the most fun recreational drug you've ever taken.

... I forget the figure, but the number was something on the order of 30-some percent of their stock was adulterated, or expired, including critical life-saving prescription drugs... just Third World stuff.
... important pharmaceuticals for me come from Boot's, or Watson's, or the major hospital pharmacies.

Thanks Magnum. I think I will do as you say and leave my own vits at home, better safe than sory. It's been 3 years since my last visit and the magic stuff wasn't easy to aquire then with most pharmacies refusing to sell.

Hey QQ. Thanks for the input. My original question was not about scrimping. I remembered the difficulty I had trying to get hold of some in the past, that's all.
The first part of my trip will be in Phuket - does anyone have suggestions on how to get a prescription there? Cheers guys!
