Okay, somone is taking this whole smoking ban too friggin far. I have just received official notifcation from our building management Teo Hong, that smoking has been banned 'EVERYWHERE' except designated smoking areas, no, I am not talking about in my building, they inform us that they are talking about 'EVERYWHERE', any street, sub soi, any car park, any area not specifically designated as a smoking area it is now illegal to smoke !?!?!? I challenged the notifcation explaining I fully understood no smoking in or out the front of the building, but on a general street and they explained to me that if I was walking along a road, silom for example and I sparked up and a MIB spotted me I would be fined 2,000 Baht, for smoking in the street !?!?! Smoking totally banned in Thailand unless in designated smoking areas...surely this is someon taking a badly written law to a pathetic extreme...or is it ? Anyone else had the misfortune of receiving any such notifcation ? I just can't believe it could possibly go this far ! but then TIT
