I picked up a case of Chlamydia from BKK. Similar symptons to what Skip mentioned. I waited about 2 weeks, and then had drippy dick. Went to doctor, and it was diagnosed with a blood test. ÝWas prescribed two 500mg zithromax tablets from Pfizer, took them both at the same time. It cleared up in about 3 days. ÝTrouble was I also had to tell my GF, and she had to take them also.
I always wore a raincoat whilst in BKK, but ate pussy, and lots of BBBJ's. ÝI also read that it can be dormant in your system for a long time (years), and shows up when your resistance is down. ÝOne of my friends told me he saw something about Chlamydia on the BBC, and it is in new epidemic proportions in parts of Europe.
Next time I am in Los, I will try and buy some Zithromax from a pharmacy, and then take them if I start getting the symptons wthout having to visit the doctor.

Regardless of whether I have symptoms, I take the 1-gram dose of anti-biotics (purchased in BKK) as soon as I get home (it sometimes makes you a little loose, which is not good on the plane). Works on gonorrhea also.

Mr. Alan....this is not good information you have posted.
You are basically lowering the ability of your body to respond to anti-biotic medication by routinely popping drugs.
Others on this forum have far more medical knowledge than I, and you should read some of those threads.

I think you are right that over use of anti-biotics can cause problems and appreciate you mentioning it. But I usually only go to BKK once per year, so I don't think that the 1 gram dose (standard dose for gonorrhea per the dosage instructions) when I get home will hurt me.
There was one time when I a sinus infection in LOS and I asked the pharmacist for a recommendation on what to take. Then I did a little research on the net just to make sure it was the correct drug that I needed (many of the brand names are different in LOS), and then went back to make the purchase.
I am a bit amazed about how easy it is to get anti-biotics and wonder if there is a general overuse of them in LOS.
