Right NF has some goint points. You have the right to smoke, but you are infact forcing your vices onto others through the stink and second-hand smoke. The smokers always use the arguement how much business will drop. People do not go out to drink or eat just to smoke. You can not use that same arguement for drinking and you can sit next to a drunk and drink water and your liver never gets hit with second-hand alcohol. The only stink you will get is if he spills a drink on you aor pukes on you both of which if you are sober you should be quick enough to avoid.
I for one will actually go out more to the Clubs if they are smoke free.

Actually, it’s not strange at all. There is one fundamental difference, smokers have a choice, non smokers do not, they are forced to breathe in stinking, polluted air, but, it does much more than that, it kills the non smoker, along with the smoker, (who has presumably made the choice to take that risk).
THAT'S WHY IT IS BEING BANNED IN PUBLIC PLACES.
Still think it's strange (yes, you probably do).

Smoking cigarettes releases tiny particles into the atmosphere which reduce the amount of solar radiation reaching the Earth's surface. This directly counteracts the effects of global warming so smokers are actually helping to save the planet.
God help us all if this insane policy is enforced.

I think those tiny particles (of poison) got released inside your head & have reduced your brain function
But don't panic yet smokers, I'm sure the bar owners (especially PTY) are working hard to find an appropiate size bribe that will influence the powers to be to put the brakes on this deal
I disagree this won't hurt buisness in the larger bars & gogo's, again, more so PTY, they're going to lose big time as practically everyone has a cigarette hanging out of their face, just one small example, SRO crowds of non-smokers at either Angelwitch, no way

No TT is right. Those tiny particles get imbedded in other people's lung giving them cancer and causing them to die sooner, thus one less person warming the earth.

Such a ban has been in place in France since January 1st and seems to go down rather smoothly. RIP shisha bars or they have to get an associative status and Allah the tasteful knows what...
Doesn't seem to have hurt the bars or restaurants though, 4 weeks waiting list when I tried to book a table in Apicius this friday  and our most regular after work pub is still full daily- with fresher air.
