Of course, of course.
But yes, you'll run into "AIDS doesn't exist" people all the time (ol' Trink is one "public" figure with such an opinion). They'll back up their arguments with all kinds of references and stats (and that silly Virus Myth website). Right down to.... you can't die of AIDS. Only AIDS related illnesses/complications.
Geniuses.
But yeah, the working girl.... "final trip home" is a very real thing. What's sad is that the final trip home often takes place when they've finally built their folks a house or paid off most or all of a personal debt. Then even though they have achieved some minor face from their economic accomplishment.... they go on to be shunned by their village when the disease becomes public (not to blame them because this often happens in the "civilized" west as well, so when it happens among the relatively uneducated villagers, what can one say?). Nothing left to do but die slowly and painfully.

The story of Thai girls going home to die of AIDS often in loneliness really cuts me up. I know AIDS awareness is often lacking, and there has been progress in some education, obviously more is needed in order to further prevent the spread of AIDS in Thailand.
As for the Thai girls continuing to work after being diagnosed with HIV is even more reason to use protection - sorry to go on people, it just may save a few lives that's all.
I just feel sad when you get to hear what kind of lives these BG's live, only to die of AIDS at a relatively young age.
Although i may seem like a hypocrite, when i was with the BG's i treated them all very well, almost like a girlfriend and would spend time talking to them. They all said i was very good person, and genuinely seemed to enjoy my company. I still keep in contact with a couple of BG's, (as friends only) to see how they're doing.
Sorry to go on folks, just my kind heart kicking in!

True confessions...of those of you how have worn condems religiously, how may of you have brought home a souvenier that you hadn't bargained on? I am curious as to the actual level of risk out there for those who try to be careful.

Hmm, well I can tell you what happened when I didn't: a case of gonorrhea from a hooker in Miami in 1984 (she was middle-aged with big jugs and I wasn't particularly worried at the time); a case of Chlamydia from a girl my age in 1987 when partying all night with her on a slow boat from Brindisi, Italy to Greece (still have a scar on my wrist from banging myself on the ladder by the bed all night while pumping like a madman). Nothing antibiotics wouldn't cure back then, but I wouldn't take the risk now. Too much untreatable stuff.

First off, I always use a condom when partaking in intercourse. It's 50/50 for BJ's.

I bring my own from the U.S. But ..... you can buy condoms at 7-11 or any convenience stores. Or ... if you go to an MP, just ask the females for a couple extra!! ha ha ha ha!!
