TU, I think it is not the tablet he takes that he likes and feels so confident, it is the depository method. maybe he stuffs it in the eye of a lb's dick and then inserts that. The shot fired from the erect, but possibly tiny, penis in his bot bot, shoots the tablet deep within, where the effect and absorbtion rate is much higher.
BB, I am not convinced that these vaccinations are that usefull, maybe I am lucky, maybe I have a strong immune system already. I have since a little kid, never been to fussed about what or where I eat, I have tried all sorts of food in all asorts of places and cooked in all asorts of manner. I am not overly fussed or obsessed about cleanliness, but dont get me wrong, I like things clean, but some compulsive and obsessive people go overboard.
I look at it like this, when my missus was pregnant and after he was born, the docs were not to worried at all about him getting vaccinations on time. the reason being that I was found to have good immunisation coverage in the past, plus with my life and background. But more importantly was the comment that my missus having been exposed to everything throughout her life, her upbringing and the country of birht etc, she would have very good natural immunisation and this would be passed onto the child.
For this reason, I do not fuss to much about my boy picking up some food off the floor he has just spilt and eating it etc. When I was a kid we would eat dirt, make mud pies and all that sh_t. Our guts were exposed to a lot of things and built up what is required. You find that if a kid is brought up in cotton wool, they will catch everything around. Now this is no excuse for not being carefull and we are, but not to the point of ridiculousness. Fingers crossed that he and I and Mum do not die from anything except very old age.

When it comes to any pathogens with a nasty way of harming your body, vaccinations can make all the difference to give you an edge over disease. You may have a strong immune system, or be careful, but if you catch typhoid, or get tetanus, it's no laughin matter; Hep A or B are a different matter alltogether as well.

This is generally good advice - being too overly clean with kids only makes them suffer stronger sicknesses when they finally do get exposed to germs. A healthy amount of germs is needed to jump-start and maintain an immune system (and a healthy diet rich in all kinds of stuff)

Sorry hzink but 7 attacks seems fairly normal in 7 years of living on a diet partly of street food and working in unhealthy parts of town.
In Bangkok excessive cleanliness is not something that will afffect most children one way or another. There are enough pathogens in the air to assist in building a healthy immune system.
Ever been in an underground car park in Bangkok? The air is stiff with bacteria, multiplying in the dank warm darkness. God knows how the security guards keep going.
With the sewage system being rudimentary or non-existent the posibility of major epidemic has been around since the 50s. BMA cocked up the large scale schemes in the 90s to improve public health and Bangkok may not get a working sewage system city wide until 2020.
The MWA also do not run a totally clean public water supply. The final delivery pipes are not pressurised and ground water enters the system. An outbreak of cholera may occur or typhoid.
It is enough to give you the willies. I just hope 7 attacks in 7 years is an indication of some immunity building up.

You are right NM, to let your kid play in dirt etc. For example, Polio hit the 20th century the worst because we are all too clean!
Polio is transmitted through the fecal-oral route, which means the oral ingestion of material contaminated with fecal microorganisms. Not washing hands after using the bathroom and drinking contaminated water were common culprits in this type of disease transmission.
Ironically, improvement in sanitation often precedes an outbreak of polio, which is why the 20th century saw the worst of polio. This was because, in pre-sanitation periods, young children were exposed to the virus. At that age, when children still have immunity gained from their mothers during pregnancy and from breast-feeding, the disease is more likely to be asymptomatic. And that asymptomatic version would provide lifelong immunity to paralytic polio.
Ironic, isn't it.
