>>>>> But I am quite sure, that Herpes being a blood borne pathogen, that if you shoot some in a girl or blood you will pass it. <<<<< Incorrect. Genital herpes is spread by direct skin to skin contact with a sore or lesion. The infected person must be shedding the virus at the time of contact with an uninfected person. The virus lays dormant at the base of the spine in the infected person forever until some event triggers an outbreak at which time the virus travels down the nerve endings to the point of infection and produces lesions or sores. The infected person is now shedding the virus and is prone to infect others. You cannot infect others by "shooting sperm in a girl or blood" You must have direct contact with a sore or a lesion while the person is shedding the virus. It is possible for people to infect others while no symptoms or lesions are present but you still must come into direct skin to skin contact with the infected person's point of infection.

Nothing, except that if you're infected with herpes and have bareback sex with an HIV positive person during an active outbreak you're more likely to become infected with HIV

True, studies seem to show that having sex with an HIV infected person who also has secondary STD's has a higher chance of communicating the disease to you. They weren't sure why, but think it has to do with a larger than normal number of whtie blood cells and assocated cells massing near the "injury" (e.g., Herpes outbreak) and so also concentrating the HIV virus in that area. - Balls

I can just tell you that when she told me after 3 years that she got HIV and "forgett to tell" it was the worse thing that ever happend to me. Sweden has a 2 week waiting time for the resluts and that was a killer.
For a minute there...I thought that you knowingly had sex with an HIV+ girl for three years. If someone was sleeping with me for 3 years, knowing they had HIV, and just didn't tell me, they'd end up thrown into the ocean. That's awful, I'm sure you must have gone threw hell waiting for the results.
they'd end up thrown into the ocean. Well I tried to tell the Police but they found her cuter then me so they said noooo thats ok and asked her for a DATE???? Swedish Police in Auction. Then I did the second thing and I think she wake up and scream every day about that. She did not just do me she did 7 of us during 10 years.

After reading all the posts, I was searching a little bit in the net and found that: Thailand Statistics Estimated total population, July 2004 : 64,865,523 Estimated number of people living with HIV/AIDS, end 2003 : 570,000 Adults (15-49) : 560,000 Women (15-49) : 200,000 Children (0-15) : 12,000 Estimated adult prevalence rate of HIV/AIDS, end 2003 : 1.5% Estimated number of AIDS deaths in 2003 : 58,000 After peaking at around 140,000 cases in 1991, the number of new HIV infections in Thailand declined to an estimated 21,000 in 2003. This dramatic fall was mainly due to increased condom use by men and a reduction in their use of brothels. However, there is mounting evidence that HIV is now spreading largely among the spouses and partners of clients of sex workers, and among injecting drug users. It is estimated that in 2002, 50% of infections were the result of heterosexual transmission in cohabiting partnerships; 20% due to injecting drug use; 15% transmitted from mother to child; and 15% were associated with commercial sex. Alongside India, Thailand is one of only two countries in Asia to offer both first- and second-line antiretroviral treatment regimens. Lower drug prices have contributed to a fivefold increase in the number of HIV-positive people receiving antiretroviral treatment in Thailand, from about 2,500 in November 2002 to 15,000 in November 2003. The target for 2004 is 50,000. http://www.avert.org/aidssoutheastasia.htm I will do a test soon, went bareback sometimes after knowing the girls for some time. But like someone post before, what does it mean if you know them for some time and have a good feeling. I will trust a test result more. Anybody want to take a test in BKK soon too ?

I believe that if you have more than one sex partner on a regular basis you should undergo a regular regimen of STD/HIV testing. I am tested every 6 weeks, whenever I give blood to the Red Cross. All blood donations are confidentially screened for STD/HIV and the Red Cross will notify you of any positives. BTW - Aside from the free testing, donating blood also improves the body's ability to produce blood in event of a trauma..

No sir, I despise people that bareback and show no concern for those that they might infect. I am glad you are okay, but I am also glad you had to suffer and please...
Always amazes me how pompous people can get. If you were that concerned about these womens' welfare then you wouldn't be funding prostitution in the developing world, exploiting the poverty of these girls to get sex for the price of a pizza delivery back home. Safer sex is good idea but this jumping on the moral high horse, because some people take more risks, is rather out of place from people who have sex with prostitutes. Having sex with prostitutes is high risk behaviour. You cannot give blood in Europe if you admit to previously having sex with a prostitute. You can catch or spread sexually transmitted diseases whilst having sex with a prostitute, whilst wearing a condom. If you are that concerned you shouldn't be have sex with prostitutes full stop. Encouraging people to wear a condom is a good thing and kyryian's story about thinking he had HIV may very well do that. The pompous, hypocritical replies just turn people off in my opinion. And Riceman, from your moral high horse, you admit to having BBBJ from 'people you know well'. If you were unknowingly HIV positive and the 'people you know well' had a cut or abrasion in their mouth you could infect them. And whilst having sex, with a condom, you can still infect people with herpes, genital warts, molluscum, lice and crabs, Syphilis and others. And do always use a dental dam when performing cunnilingus? Anyone who has sex with prostitutes exposes themselves and their partner to a level of risk. Come down off you moral high horse.

There must be an intense shortage of blood in European blood banks... Oh, wait, you said 'admit'...
