This why I like the Thai 'Wai' greeting so much.

With viruses, as most of you know, for male or female, there may be no visible signs of symptoms at all.

You've heard of certain germs, bacteria, infections, even viruses that cannot live outside of the body. And for a majority, maybe you are right. But this not true for all.
Your buddy, who has just been holding himself in the toilet ( or possibly touching a girl in the bar ) shakes your hand.
The virus is on you.
You go to the toilet.
You transfer the virus to your little friend.
Any abrasion or even on the mucous membrane where the skin is less protective and so more susceptible to viruses that want to cling to something
......................and you've got it.
A used towel, a toilet seat, an unwashed glass. The keyboard at an internet cafe. Why do we get so many illnesses ?
Well we don't live like Howard Hughes or Janet Jackson's brother. And who cleans the keyboards in an internet cafe ?
But if I caught anything, and thank the good ladies of Bangkok that in all my years here, I haven't, then I'd alcohol-wipe every surface of my place, burn my clothes, especially underwear and sheets and towels and move and start again, if I was able to be cured. because just washing ordinarily, doesn't work. The virus is still there to get picked up.
I really feel sorry for the poor men and women who catch something that is incurable or very hard to get rid of. Their lives, if they care for others and most people do, have been altered significantly, because, through no fault of their own, they have lost the freedom which we, by accident and good chance still enjoy.
I am not one to support the sometimes scare tactics of the medical profession. I abhore ( if you'll excuse the expression ) the stategy of religions attempting to instill fear through misinformation and the perpetuating of ignorance.
And I know it is easy to discount what I have earlier said. But it is that easy. I have had friends both back in my country of birth and here in Thailand, male and female, who have been unlucky.
One guy had to go to hospital every two weeks for two years to get his warts burnt off, sometimes with liquid nitrogen and sometimes with a carcinogenic liquid, both extremely painful, before the doctor declared that, for the time being, he could see no re-occurence.
It's a risk, among many, that we all take, for this ride of joy. And some of us are careful. And some of us are not so careful. Both are susceptible.
But, having said that, have a good day, and if you happen to come across a lovely specimen of womanhood who is up for it, money or no money, give your best, for tomorrow there may be none.
Hopefully, that day will never come. But hopefully, you and I will ( cum). - that is not an invitation.
