don5252, I think you should look at the Novum Technique, it costs 300,000 baht at AsavanantClinic at Thong Lo, Sukhumwit soi 55.
It is 3 implants with a fixed titanium bridge.
It is designed to replace a bottom denture.
It takes about 4 hours to do it same day, plus a couple of pre-op consulatations and X-ray.
This guy is considered to be one of the best in Asia, and is often asked to speak at dental/implant conventions.

Very good service to say the least. Along with it being cheap you get to have very hot Thai girls to assist you.
It was so cheap I even popped for an active retainer to correct one tooth that had moved over many years. I was quoted a heck of a lot more for the same thing back home.

Asavanant are very good. They do charge a bit more though and are typical of most Dentists in that once you are in they will try and get you to have extra work done.
I cannot fault their skills,aprt from one extraction I had which took four hours,eventually the lady Dentist had to call in another female dentist to extract the tooth as she obviously did not have the strength herself. The other Dentist looked reminiscent of a Shot Putter and whipped it out (my tooth) quickly. I was given a discount to compensate for my discomfort. She also told me I had been very brave !! I half expected her to give me one of those "Good Boy " badges they dish out to kids.!!
But as I say aprt from extractions they do very good and pain free work.

I do not know about Asavanant. All I had done was X-rays/cleaning and an active retainer made when I went to dentalhospitalbangkok.
I will say they didn't try to up sell me once, if anything they down sold me. Once my dentist was away and the temp got me to have my very back teeth filled with this plastic that lasts a couple of years to help prevent tooth decay.
I asked about this and they seem to think it was a waste of money. As she said "well you have gone 20 years without it and your teeth are fine, if you want we will do it but I don't think you need it"
Asking about the retainer was about the same. Well you have gone all this time and your tooth has only moved this much, you could just get a regular retainer.
I had to push them to go with the active retainer only because I knew it was so much cheaper then getting it done at home I figures why not.

st loius hospital has a nice dentistry department....went there about 4 times....700baht for cleaning...at least it was back in '04...

me again with this thread, but a question this time..
This may be a shot in the dark but has anyone ever had a "deep" cleaning done in BKK..my dentist here said thats what I needed and its well over a grand here.
my crappy dental plan doesnt cover much : (
any ballpark figures are appreciated...

No but I usually get it done in Ptty http://www.bph.co.th/pages/main.php
PM me for the doctors details, I nearly lost all my teeth due to an infection a few years ago so now I have to have this done once a year. Its a little painfull involves a few injections and a bit of blood but worth it. I have too book my doc well inadvance as she is booked up all the time nice lady allways seems to work through lunch.
