On the matter of cost...
I get all my dental work done in BKK now - as a general rule the costs are between 10% and 20% of what I would pay here in Oz. Doubt it will cost more than $100US ballpark guess (today thats about 2100 -2200 baht right? )
...and if that ain't enough reason, even my wife refers to my regular dentist as "the former Miss Thailand!"

I will contact some suggestions prior to my next trip...most likely December..
my dentist here said it wasnt urgent but that I should definitly have it done soon.
I just inquired to see if would be worth waiting till the end of the year and saving several hundred bucks and I think it might be..besides Minder makes a good point having a hot dentist is a big plus LOL!

I know it depends on where you go, but does anyone have a ballpark figure how much one can get a couple cavitys filled in BKK????
When I lived there I went to the dentist at St Loius hospital but am up for any good sugestions..

Dental Hospital, Soi 49. 3 cavities, about 2,000 Baht, including exam, x-rays, and cleaning.

I cant give a thumbs up or down at silom dental....but I have never had anything but good experiences at st louis hospital for dental or health care off of silom at surasak...it is first rate...
