Question for those bros that have taken the plunge into a serious committed relationship with a Thai.

Whether she is a BG or not with the prevalence of HIV in Thailand I wonder how guys deal with that when pursuing marriage. It takes 6 months or so (For lack of a better word) for HIV to "incubate." (I know it is actually time for the antibodies to become present.)

Whatever,....it takes 6 months before you can know that she is all clear. How is this handled? Can you bring her home and wait for 6 months before you are obligated to marry her or what?? Isn't it terribly worrisome to make a lifetime commitment to someone that has such a high probability of having a slow death sentence hovering over her head?

Well bro I should make you do the research yourself since all of these topics have been talked about before, many, many times but here it is in a nut shell.

The easiest and fastest way to get a Thai lady a visa to your country is by going for the fiancee visa. It can take up to 6 months or more to be approved for the fiancee visa so begin the HIV test just before you start the visa process. By the time the visa has been approved you should know whether she's HIV + or not.

Once the fiancee visa has been issued and she arrives in your country you will have 90 days to marry her or she will have to go back to LOS. Pretty simple isn't it.

Oh by the way, I forgot to mention one small point. I checked your profile and found out you are here in the good ole US of A, so if there is any hint to the American embassy that your lady friend has ever worked in a bar ( Of any kind ) then YOU JUST DID ALL OF THAT FOR NOTHING!

The chances of her being approved for a fiancee visa once they find out that she is or was a BG are pretty much up there with your chances of winning the lottery. It sucks but there it is. Hope this makes things a little clearer for you. Peace

Cyborg,

I agree with cmore. Futhermore, I wouldn't suggest considering marriage to any of these ladies in any timeframe less than 6 months. I've been with my TGF almost 2 years, and while we have discussed the issue, it is not a requirement for us to continue in the nearterm (but probably a reasonable thing for the longterm, if we stay together).

To directly answer you question: my TGF has been getting an HIV test every 6 months anyway, as her "pussy doctor" is aware of her "former profession" and just does it. Likewise, I've done that test on nearly a yearly basis here in the States, using the anonymous local clinics. Only takes 2 weeks to get the results and is free.

We do not use condoms with each other, and, for better or worse, we stopped using them with each other early in our relationship. We did talk about diseases before going completely bareback, as well as her use of condoms when she was working. But like many things in life, it was a calculated risk on both our parts. So far, knock on wood, it was a minor risk.

I cannot suggest you do as did we, everyone has to assess the risks and decide for their own unique circumstances. Not sure how long you've known her so far, and what she may have contracted to date (we all have our histories, even yours truly). HIV isn't your only concern -- Hepatitis, Herpes, HPV come to mind as well. Most of the other nasties are curable. You should be able to have a realisitic discussion with her about these things, and you certainly owe it to yourself to do so.

Personally, I wouldn't tie a marriage timetable to it, other than to say you should work all this out before moving into marriage. MHO. People who are married do live with some of these things, but they have to be aware partners. If you can't talk about these things, you have a problem that needs to be worked out. No doubt, the discussion has to be carefully approached to avoid sounding like an indictment.

You asked the question in all seriousness, so I am giving you my humble but serious response. Hope this helps, just my 5 minutes worth of thought about your query.

Chok dee!

Cyborg,

Part of the Fiancee Visa process requires a medical examination which includes HIV testing. The Fiancee Visa application process from start to issuance of visa is taking about 8 months for appliciants living in the Western US.

Marrying someone after falling for him or her is emotionally a very higly motivated thing. Above that, marrying a BG or someone from similar profession need you to be very very emotional. The more emotional you are the more high risk you will be willing to take.

If you will be in your controlled mind of thinking all this issue before going into such type of relationship then there is a bigger chance of you not falling for this on the first hand itself.

SO its simple...you have a rare chance of falling in such type of situation coz you are already thinking about it well before getting into it.

Everybody can buy a gun......but you need to be an idiot to pull the trigger on yourself.

Cheers !!

Hey guys thanks for the input but I guess I should have been a little more detailed in my question. Certainly HIV testing must be done before any thoughts of marriage but the core of my question was supposed to be concerning how best to deal with the 6 month wait for an all clear check. She will certainly continue to work during this time and apparently virtually no amount of money you send to her will keep her from doing so.

If I were to think seriously about a commitment of this sort I would be very concerned about that 6 month period and how to deal with that. I am thinking that moving to LOS for at least 6 months to stay with her and be certain she is not active in the bar during that time may be the only recourse.

Damn shame about that BG not getting a Visa thing.
That sucks!!

babanana,

Agreed. Paint me confused too.

Cyborg, if you mean she is telling you she won't work, and you suspect she'll do it anyway, then you have to ask yourself if you care, or just accept her professional bent. If she needs to work to support herself, then the HIV test is of little relevance until after she stops working (unless she is already HIV+ and it shows up now).

Also, I would ask the question: how one-sided is the marriage proposal? Did you or she bring it up? It's a big step, tread carefully. Do you know her family's situation? Have you met them and watched their behavior over a long period of time? Do you know how they distribute YOUR money to their (endlessly) extended family? What are your TGF's expectations for your support of her family (you need to QUANTIFY this) ? Does her family approve of her professsion (my TGF's didn't) ? You will surely walk the road to ruin if you haven't reached a mutual understanding about money matters and her family before marruage. And surely you need to set boundaries.

This may seem like a digression from the HIV issue, but I guess I just don't see it as the biggest thing in your "decision tree."

How long have you known this lady? If you can give us a few more details, we can respond in kind.

Best,
Balls

Hot Damn, Son you got me cornfused.

What the HELL is this statement suspose to mean?

She will certainly continue to work during this time and apparently virtually no amount of money you send to her will keep her from doing so.

The last Damn thing you want to do is get in a realtionship that you have to keep worrying about a girl be it a TGF or ANY Damn Woman. It'll f*ckin drive you CRAZY

As previously mentioned:
A) How long have you known this girl?
B) Age difference ( If your a lot older and she's been working for awhile don't expect her to give up going out)
C) MONEY If your not living here and you plan on moving here I hope you got a lot.
D) Do you still plan on screwing around?
E) Marriage Plan on loseing half of everthing you got (with no arguement)
F) WHY THE f*ck DO YOU REALLY WANT TO DO THIS? ARE YOU THAT LONELY?

Whoa guys..... I didn't mean to get you guys all spun up about this. I guess I am really botching my communication in this thread. I apologise.

I am simply asking this stuff theoretically. I do not have marriage to any particular BG in mind.

I do have some feelings for Sam from my previous Cyborg field reports and am in constant contact with her but can't bring myself to even think at all seriously about her as a viable wife/GF because I believe that these girls all lie. Even if I was inclined to pursue any BG I would find it virtually impossible to trust that she would not continue to "Go with man." If a guy is not there to watch her and if she is not here for him to watch her how could someone feel comfortable that she is not out there doing it?

Is it not a consensus that BGs as a general rule cannot be trusted to speak the truth? Maybe that is an over generalization that will get me flamed hard but I simply want to understand how guys get past the 6 months waiting period with a warm and fuzzy feeling. You cannot exactly quarantine her for 6 months.

I guess now is when I get a lot of replies telling me "if you don't have trust you don't have the basis of a relationship and why even think about it." That is fine, I do not trust these professional actresses and therefore will not have a relationship of any substance with them.

How do you (Who have successfully done it) develop trust, and from there a relationship, knowing the acting skills of these sweethearts? And stay disease free in the process?
