i require a couple of prescription medications of which a doctor's prescription is needed here in California... What are the procedures in BKK? The only foreign pharmeceutical procedures I am familiar with are Mexico, where a doctor's prescription is not necessary... Links would be great as well... Thanks again.

Glad to read, on another thread, that you are making the move, I envy you (oh to be young, wealthy and coming to BKK for the first time!)
There was a time where you could get ANYTHING over the counter at certain Pharmacies until the amphetamine (also previously available) exploded. Now it is my impression that they are a little less free. Nonetheless, pharmacists routinely dispense medication on the spot, with just a description of symptoms or the name of the drug. I doubt you would have any problem obtaining anything for a legitimate health need. Otherwise, it might be more difficult.

that makes sense... the heaviest medication i would need is valume as a sleep aid anyhow... anyone else with some experiences?

the Chinese/thai guys in the 2nd, larger Pharmacy just up from the Nana interesection [ going towards the Marriott] have, or can get, just about anything - you need no more than the name and the $$ - which is usually pretty reasonable. -

Hey Private eye, Would that be the one that ius basically the last store in that little stripm before hitting open sidewalk space heading towards the marriott?? well I say open sidewalk, there are 5,000 food vendors and 20 phone booths. But my meaning is open without any buildings.

I ran out of thyroid meds and had no problem getting it.....hell of a lot cheaper than the US and same mfg.
