I visited a members new business today, the above named massage and spa in Soi 23. Decided to take my wife for a relaxing massage and spoil her a little bit, as well as try out serge's new establishment.
It is conveniently located about 100 metres past soi cowboy in soi23 heading away from Sukhumvit on the right hand side, there is a small group of shops there and Elysium is in the middle roughly.
Well, enjoyed about 2 and a half hours of bliss, it must have been good, cos the missus had the sh_ts with me prior to entry and then afterwards, it was like magic.
It was the first foot massage where I did not laugh my head off and the oil massage was great.
The premises are very relaxing and staff make you feel at home. Best thing, or the 2 best things about this place is, firstly, the prices are about 60% of what most spa establishments are charging, so if you want a proper massage with all the oils and jazz it is well worth it. Secondly, because it is run by a falang and his very competent and lovely partner, you can actually request something and it will be done, with absolutely no delay or trepidation. This means that you could actually request something that is either not on the menu, or that is not exactly in the package that you choose and they will bend over backwards to accommodate your requests.
Way to many times I have been to places and asked for this or that, or leave this out, or add this and they all say NO, to hard, bad luck or yes we will do it, but it will cost you this amount, or double or some stupid response that always results in me walking out because of such stupidity.
Anyway, pleased to announce that this place will accommodate all. But it is not a naughty place, even I asked for the funny surgeons undies to put on during the aromatherapy massage. But the missus still asked me if I got a tug in there.

Another Elysium Experience... Two Thumbs WAY up!
Well, how best to put it? Sure, the words 'Excellent Service' come to mind, but after experiencing Serge's Elysium Spa, those words seem, kinda, not enough!
After a pretty relaxing morning, and some walking around in the Soi teens area, I decided I will drag my nephew, his TGF (yep, didn't take him long) and myself to check out Serge's Elysium.
After the taxi erroneously dropped us off on Soii 13 (one of these days I will work on my Thai pronounciation), and we enjoyed a short walk to Soi 23, a brisk walk down Soi 23, past Soi Cowboy, until we saw it. Well, actually, we were walking down Soi 23, not knowing where it was, and just as I thought we were lost, called BK - and there was the Elysium banner standing ahead of us in the Soi. So, keep in mind - once you know where it is, and you keep walking down the right side of the Soi, you will eventually find it, after roughly 200 meters past Soi Cowboy.
How best to summarize the experience?
Seriously, if I were a chick, and my boyfriend had treated me to 90 minutes of pampering at Elysium, some major 'appreciation boom-boom' is gonna result from it, guaranteed (in fact, I think that's what my nephew is getting as I write this.)
Serge lucked out with a great place, with a great interior, some very 'earthy' interiors, and some comfortable furniture and decorations. He's rounding it out with nice touches like pantoufles (soft slippers for your feet), complimentary tea, and some soothing music.
The staff is professional, and very charming, clearly enjoying their work (or maybe they were just enjoying my charming and engaging personality), and doing a great job at pampering us, and making us feel good.
Ning did a great job convincing my nephew's TGF that a facial is in fact good for her, and does not require a run for the kleenex box - the poor thing was pretty scared (or, as she said, 'shy') at first, but finally gave in - she acknowledged that she liked it all facial, pedi- and manicure) 'nit noy' (which, I guess, means that she will ask to visit again).
I received a manicure, pedicure, and oil foot massage, all of which were performed expertly, including a complimentary back-rub and back-massage by my foot massage girl (there's my charming and engaging personality, again - then again, my nephew got that as well, hmmmm...?)
Overall, an awesome experience, and I already warned Serge that I will be back the next day to experience a body scrub with sea salt, and stuff (NO, not THAT stuff!)
When it came time to pay, and received the bill with a cringe on my part, I was pleasantly surprised to find it far less than I felt this kind of kuxury would cost - so, another pleasant surprise.
It was all finished up with another glass of complimentary warm, sweet tea.
Can it get any better? Stay tuned, I'll report if second time's the charm!
