sorry to jack this thread, but I would also like to ask about prices and locations for the following drugs.
Hyzaar
Nexium
Lipitor
Alomide
Norvsac (sp?)
Medicine is outrageousy expensive here in the USA, but I read that it is legal to transport a 90 day supply of drugs here.
I would greatly appreciate any help

ambien is not sold, they sell the generic stillnox in its place.... burumgrad and other western hospitals..... figure 1,600 baht for office visit and 15 ambien, then for 15 more 2 weeks later to get prescription filled, around 600 or 800 baht

Just curious,, what do you consider outrageous pricing??
Here in Aus Norvasc is around US$30.
I assume you have tried some of the "on-line" pharmacies?

That's quite interesting. About five months ago, having resolved that having a few ambien around would be nice, I went into see a doctor at Samitivej soi 49. He told me their pharmacy did stock it. In sceptical disbelief, I asked him to write me the script anyway, went by their pharmacy and was told the same. I then took that script to the Sukh. pharmacy next to Champagne room and was told only a hospital would be able to fill it. So off I went to the nearby Bumrungrad. At their pharmacy I was even more stunned when they informed me they wouldn't honor the Rx from Samitivej. If I wanted the ambien they stocked they wanted me to see their doc's and get a Rx written on Bumrungrad stationary. Go figure!
After that turn of events, I went back to using my trusty timed release Melatonin.

Here's some prices from the Pharmacy Minimart- almost next door to the Champagne Room -on Sukhumvit, nearby to soi Nana.
Lipitor ~ 10mg x 10tabs = 480Bt [inhouse special 100 for 4500Bt]
Zimmex ~ 10mg x 50 tabs = 200Bt
Zimmex ~ 40mg x 50 tabs = 400Bt
Zimmex, if you're unaware, is the generic Zocor containing Simvastatin USP. According to my doctor the absorption is slightly different than what is found in Zocor. In my case, I'd been prescribed 5mg of Lipitor and seen a highly favorable response. Doc said that if I was to switch to Zemmix I should up the dose to 10mg.
