Hi
I am planning quiet a long stay in the LOS and I am regulay prescribed Temazepam and Tylex at home.
Will I be able to buy these in Pattaya or will I need to visit a clinic to get them

my experience is that once you enter a pharmacy as an expat (long nose and so on), the chaps will be glad to give you anything without any prescription - even send it to your hotel. I sometimes feel inclined to go to Bangkok just to make use of that (saves money!!!).
Hey all of you - would you agree or have I just been lucky again ?

I knpow of atleast one pharmacy in Bangkok that even advertises on its window that they dispense drugs without prescription. I do not know if there are any more (I am sure there are lots - and in Pattaya too) but this one is on the left side as you enter the Ambassador Hotel parking lot from Sukhumvit Road.
However whether the particular drug required by you is marketed in Bangkok or not, I have no idea. Might be a good idea to carry the generic name of the drug with you.

Unless the drug is regarded a narcotic you should
have no problem in finding what you need, might try
Boots Chemist first although they may have some
Western controls in place, if theres a problem
the drug stores around Patpong, Nana and Soi cowboy
are always accommodating.

I agree. Very unlikely that you can face a problem when you ask for medicine at the drugstores either in Bangkok or up-country. At least I haven't had any problem requesting some when needed. Just try to head to a somehow well located/clean one avoiding the smaller not well looking ones. Some news said that some of these few mini-"drugstores" were selling medicine without appropriate controls.

I live in Pattaya and regularly pick up Vallium and other stuff for a friend in Singapore when I go back there,you can get almost any drug over the counter.
Suggest take the label/write down generic name.
Generic vallium is about 1/5th price or less depending on brand.
There is fake Viagra around,only buy the tablets out of the blister packs as the stuff from the plastic bottles may be fake.
4 x 100g = baht 1800
