Having just watch The Tourist (very disappointing and predictable) I have the urge to try an E-Cigarette and see if I can kick the 'normal' cigarette.
Has anybody had any joy purchasing these in Bangkok, if so, where and what price ?
Appreciate the help.

Don't know about e cigarette but the Paul Mackenna cd did it for me 5 years smoke free and I had a heavy habit.

Public health ministry orders study of e-cigarettes
BANGKOK, June 13 (TNA) – Public Health Minister Chaiya Sasomsab ordered a study on information of electronic cigarettes to find measures to prevent importing e-cigarettes to Thailand because existing law doesn't cover the new product.
The e- cigarette consists of a cartridge, an atomizer, and a rechargeable battery. It doesn't contain tobacco but it has nicotine, propylene glycol, a chemical used in a fog machine, and fruity taste. Each cartridge is the equivalent of 15 conventional cigarettes.
The public health minister said that although e-cigarettes don't emit smoke, they pose harm to smokers with the level of nicotine higher than found in conventional cigarettes.... More

Ok, small update, 3rd floor of MBk, towards the back, one of those small electronic stalls selling all sorts of gadgets but not phones or PC's.
Its simply called the e-cigarette, small black box, comes with a USB and plug charge and 10 filters for 750 Baht. for an additional 150 baht you can get another 10 filters.
Ignore the guy with a large stand as you exit the department store if originally walking in from the BTS, he started at 2,000 B for the thing and 450 for filters, silly ass !
One downside, the battery ran out late Saturday and I attempted to recharge it, unfortunately its not taking any charge, so I now have to return to the stall at MBK and hope for the best !
On the overall experience of smoking from it, I found it very pleasant, it curbed my real cigarette requirement 100%, and even after having several beers, it still satisfied my urge to smoke real ones, TGF also liked the complete lack of smell.
