Hi Guy's, just heard on CNN that the WHO has reported a new strain of Gonorrhea that is very resistant to antibiotic treatment that is available to treat this STD. These new strains have been reported in France,Norway, Denmark and Japan.
Hope this is not a buzzkill, for our Big Mango trips.

Yes, this piece of news is allready almost a year old and is indeed worrying...
Now it seem that this strain is not very comon (yet) and that at least some of it are still vulnerable to some of the older antibiotics used against gonnorhea...meaning this strain gained protection against the new treatments but lost its resistance to some old one that are no longer in use...i dont remember the details sorry...

Not a new strain, just one that is developing a resistance to antibiotics, as all seem to do over time, with natural selection, and improper treatment.
It is now in Hong Kong, and with the number of freelancers moving between here, and there it won't be long.
Monogany looks better, and better all the time.

A quasi-frequent monger I know also happens to be an MD. He confirmed this is starting to get into the "general population" in BKK, if you know what I mean. I don't know what to say about how to handle it - make your own determinations. Not sure it helps at all but I always wash the wang in the sink immediately after the act, or use hand sanitizer on it.
