Hello all I've searched on this board and haven't ran across to much information on laser teeth whitening. So hopefully this is a "new" topic for all.
I will be in BKK in shortly and I'm looking for a quality dentist to whiten my teeth most dentists still use all Bleach to whiten your teeth but I've found out a quicker(90 minutes) and more healthier way is through laser.
I've found 3 places that will do this procedure in BKK prices range from 10,000 baht - 20,000 baht. those places are

My questions are has anyone had this procedure done? And if so can you please tell me about your experience and cost? And finally does anyone know of any dentists in "non tourist" areas where this service might be cheaper?

You don't want to use laser to whiten your teeth. Instead you want to to use something similar to IPL, intense pulse light. The procedure involves putting a gel on your teeth, wearing some glasses, and exposing your teeth to a light.
Here in the US we call it Britesmile. Go visit http://www.britesmile.com. Some crooked dentists in California I know give it free to their patients that are insured (they figure a way to bill it all to your insurance). Otherwise, I think the price runs about $500.
How well does it work? Well, you wouldn't believe it until you saw it for yourself. I know a 60 year old guy (twice my age) who has been a wine drinker and had really yellow teeth. His teeth were so white after the treatment that it was blinding. It works really, really good...

Someone; Great link to Dental Hospital. I spent a full day there last October, and can attest to the awesome service. I had (another), root canal yesterday in LA, and the dentist told me he wants to extract a tooth and make yet another bridge. He said that it will take three appointments, and after insurance cost me $1480 US. Times that by 45, and you get the baht rate.
I told him that I'll go back to Bangkok and have it done for a 1/4th, that is if indeed I actually do require a bridge. I found the Thai dentist to be far more honest and straightforward than American Dentists, who in my opinion, just want to sell the costliest most profit generating procedures possible.
Even with Dental Insurance, the average cost of major dental work in the US is 4-5 times higher than in Thailand.
I'll make an appointment on the web at the Dental Hospital, and strongly encourage the brothers to at least have a cleaning when in Bangkok, it is very cheap, and the work is great!

TWD, you should investigate Dental Implants, why ruin two good teeth to make a bridge. BTW a bridge is the top revenue source for dentists as they always have problems in the future. I had a dental implant to replace a cap of which the underline tooth split lengthwise (after 11 years). I had it done in LA so it was expensive, but definitely great technology. I do not know if LOS is performing these procedures, should be a lot cheaper.

I've had a few horror stories with dentists back home.
Some years ago I used to visit one practice (now I know why they call it "practice", they certainly practiced on me! ) that convinced me that I needed a few root canals done (ouch!). In the end I left that place and found another dentist that didn't try to rip all my teeth apart with costly prodecures.
Anyway, early this year I chipped a tooth while in Pattaya and my TGF suggested a good dentist that would fix it. Although I'm somewhat sceptical of dentists in general, I decided to give it a go and had the best service in a long time.
It's a very small dental surgery, but modern equipement, very good service and cheap! In the end I had all my dental work done there before I left and am very happy with the results so far.
I'll never visit a rip-off merchant back home again.

I recently had the Laser teeth whitening done at the Asavanant clinic, just below Thong Lo skytrain terminal. The procedure is pretty uncomfortable but the results are fantastic! The whole procedure takes approx 1 hour, however I suffered some painful after effects. My teeth became ultra sensitive for approx 4 - 6hours which was an experience I'd rather forget. Everybody reacts differently though and some people suffer no discomfort at all. All in all I'd recommend Asavanant and the procedure anyone.
