Hi, do any of you guy's know of a good chiropractor/osteopath that you would recommend .

I have a trapped nerve that play's up from time to time and would like to get it treated in September when I'm in BKK . As it seems to be starting up again.

I had a good one near me in UK but she got married and moved away, and have not found a good one since.

I would imagine Thailand would be a good place to get my back treated, last time there the massages were good but it need's a little more.

Hope you can help cheers

Don't assume that the thai massage is the 'cure all', it is not. I had one in Oz by a Thai and it f_cked my back in a new place, now I have 2 bad spots.
But i found the address for a recommended chiro place here around Thonglor and I will try to find again and post, I might give them a go myself.
But I have been trying to find a good needle doc here and have not been recommended one as yet, may just go to chinatown and see if I get lucky.

Hi Monty,

As with any medical issue, make sure whatever you do is safe, otherwise the cure really will be worse than the cause.

That said, I've got the same problem, a trapped nerve in my upper neck that gives me problems sometimes and a propper thai massage does seem to help me a lot.
What I would recommend is that you make your way down to Wat Pho, maybe one of the masters teaching there can help.

Find a good BG with good strong massage hands to kneed out those aches and pains. I know thats the first thing Im doin once I get off that long plane ride over. Christ were doin OT at work lately and my lower back aches like hell anymore. Workouts and stretching helps but it aint enough.  I need some skinny thing to walk my back really and of course rest and a good wet ride * )

No amount of massge will permanently take care of a back problem. But there are some great stretching exercises that can alleviate it (ask an orthopaedic doctor). If that doesnt do it, try 2 tabs of Anarex 3 times a day. Its a pretty effective muscle relaxant.

It's strange, but I never notice my back problem after, or during a night on the turps.

Don't take medication for a sore back - it's only covering up the symptons. If you have a trapped nerve (subluxation) then a chiropractor will correct it.

Here's another one. I called them from Melbourne and found out the following prices:

http://www.thailand-chiropractic.com

Initial visit with assessment is 2,500 baht.
Subsequent visits are 1,050 baht.
10 visit program gets a 20% discount.

Not bad value. I plan on seeing them when I get to BKK and I will give a field report for anyone interested.

After I got dx with twice from bbbj, and complained of lbp (low back pn), may doctor suspected reiters syndrome or reactive arthritis.  Sx include any on of the following which may be present at varying times:
PMH of chamydia infection
urethritis caused by unprotected sex (bbbj, bbfs)
inflamation of the eyes (red irritated eyes)
Low back pain
arthritis at the fingers and toes, set off by unsafe sexual activity,
etc.

look it up for more details, just a heads up.

btw, I came out with a clean bill of health.
