What is the best site for hassle free and free downloads of MP3s? I used to use iMesh but they got all complicated.
Any suggestions?

Tyler, not sure if you can connnect from BKK, but Shareaza is a Peer to Peer that has quite a bit of MP3 and some other video type things that I don't understand
Free to set up, free to download and reasonably fast.

I've had good success with Limewire and bearshare.
emule has great capabilities but I found it slow.
Most of my ipod contents come from Limewire.
but emule found a lotta Thai stuff the others couldn't get.
While we are at it, emule is great for programs too. I am using the professional versions of ZoneAlarm, AVG and Adaware from this emule.

Not free, but at $1.50 an album (yes, ALBUM, not song), and with the ability to pick whatever compression scheme and quality you want, it's a great deal.

another russian mp3 site. same basic deal, 10-20 cents (US) per song or a discount if you d/l the entire album.
I like this and use it alot however from BKK, the best time to use these (russian) sites is in the mid-late morning as traffic on the servers is low. Otherwise you are in contention with everyone from the US and Europe and download speeds drop dramatically.
