Did the search...help if you know of a thread or two? I will be there ( M.S.) March 2nd for 4 nights then to Pattaya I will need a hook up to the net for a few reasons. If you know about any connections at the hotel or some near please post some info. Thank you in advance. P.S. you guys are tops!! Really love reading the trip reports!! I will write on for you guys and if time permitted I will send one from Bkk or Pataya. I asked the Pataya guys at the flb site to help there. I will be staying at the Sandy Springs. Majestic Suites has a business center with Internet access, but not sure if you can hook up your own computer. There are Internet cafes all over the place, some of which allow you to hook up your computer. There are probably some closer, but I know the Internet cafe in the Times Square building (Asoke BTS stop next to Sheraton) allows access with your computer.

there is net cafe and coffee shop two doors down. They might let you connect your laptop. Go to your right leaving hotel and I think its a second or third door

it's in the coffee world/subway shop, 2 doors up (rather then down).
just buy a coffee and/or a sandwich and they let you use your own.
I thought every hotel that has phonelines let you hook up your laptop??
a great internet cafe with highspeed access, baht 0.75 to 1.00 is down in soi 4 at the exotissimo travel, just next to the trend beauty shop (opposite rajah carpark).

I think MS have separate phone jacks for internet connection too. Assuming you have your own ISP account to dial into... The business office is for short time use upon request, if I'm not mistaken. I doubt that you can connect your own laptop to their connection, whatever they have.

I don't really know what I'm talking about... but I seem to recall that MS had some pretty whack phone charges. I don't recall exactly what they were, but it was bad enough that I always had my friend call me from his hotel instead. Or maybe I was just being a lazy bastard. In any case, I suggest you check the little book to see what the charges are. I've been burned by internet calls from previous hotels before.

Yes,
MS does have separate phone and Internet connections. Colorado Guy should reply, but I think he is incommunicado down south for a little while! He was always banging away in his room somtimes he would hit a key or two!

Other Options.
-Mr Alan suggested going to Time Square and using Internet Cafe on 2nd floor. They do allow you to plug your laptop into their ADSL connections. Just take the BTS, one stop from Nana to Asok. 10 Baht each way.
-Seems like JW Marriott have free wireless internet access in public area right now.

There's also a place just about a 2 minute walk to the left of Majestic..you walk across the street and you'll see a gas station..behind this is a place that I found to have good rates and quick service...that was in Sept. so hopefully it's still there.
