Can anyone recommend a software to be able to edit MP3s? There are some songs I have that have unnecessary music/talking before the song begins and excess silence after the song ends. I would like to visually see the MP3 and then go in and chop whatever I want out and save it as a new version.

Thanks

I use 'Cool Edit Pro'.

Very intuitive. But I am not an expert, so it may be just what you need. You can download a demo version for free. Panthip, of course, for the original.

Because audio CDs have standard encrypted tags while not all MP3s have tags?

Because most mp3's constitute theft and why help a thief?

Does Nero have the capability to convert audio CD tracks (*.cda) to MP3? Or is Audacity still the best program for that?

Have not done it but Nero says it can.

As to the best depends on how perfect you want it.

Another free one I have used in the past but not for a long time is.

I found you had to make sure your CD was in very good condition.

While we are on the subject is there any conversion program that will take tracks that I have purchased off of Itunes and convert them to mp3?

I need to use a better player than Apple's Itunes software and want to use some of the music that I bought from Apple's music site.
