And if you want, you can buy it online and have it shipped for less money then buying it at Phantip plaza.

Until it is held hostage by Thai customs and you're asked to pay more than 100% of what you bought it for.
The cheapest option is always to find someone trustworthy who is traveling over from the US and have them hand-carry.
Otherwise Panthip is the next-best choice.
