here's another link about DVDs
I recently bought some DVD9s on Suk. Road, between Soi 7 and Soi 5
They were only 100b each, but half of them were the "filmed in a cinema" type
I couldn't be phucked to go back and get them exchanged, cause I'll most likely end up with more sh!te
I should have known better actually, since one was Alien vs. Predator that is very new, and usually only films than are good quality DVD9 are stuff that's been released a long time already, like the Double Secret issue of Animal House that I got at the same shop (they show titties)
normally a good DVD9 will have more language and subtitle selections that a DVD5, & DVD9 often will have bonus features such as "making of" or "on the set" etc.
DVD9 will also have DTS sound most times

DVD9s for 100 baht... should have rung a bell.
Look on the cover. There are two kinds (maybe more) of dvd9 labels. Those with the smaller printed labels are NOT dvd9s.
The real DVD9s have a larger golden sticker. These are genuine DVD9s.

In professional terms, these are called 'zoom' movies.
It is my opinion that this 'DVD9' scheme is a method for vendors and distributors, both legal and illegal, as a gimmick.
Rented this week 'Texas Chain Massacre', DVD9.
No extras, no DTS.... under 90 minutes.

and I helped her get her gear down too
no, not her kit, her gear (you know, the tent poles)
