I have had the opportunity now to use my Kindle for a few days. First, the wireless connection is Sprint, so in TH (indeed the rest of the World outside the USA) its back to the USB connection. But, commenting on a post above, Amazon pays for the connection, its cost is embedded in the book price. Emailing, up and downloading your own documents are your cost (but free with USB, of course) Reading, making notes, etc. is a breeze, with 55 yo eyes and adjustable type size, wow, imho. Books cost about $9.95, 2/3 to 1/5 of regular Amazon costs, and delivered within minutes. On my flights, I usually carry 4-6 books; one lightweight Kindle now. But, I also like 1st edition and signed books, so I will buying these also. 1st edition, signed ones are shelve only, a second copy for reading. It's not for Ipod users...most of these are not serious readers anyhow. Different demographics, etc.
