Steve Jobs with his black turtle neck and blue jeans is rumoured to be associated with the spaceship cult out of San Diego in which male members where/are castrated and comitted suicide awaiting the spaceship to Venus in their cult dorm bunks.
Even the Apple guy in the instructional vedios on the Apple web site are attired in the Job's style. Humm....with or without balls.

daffy u keep going on about the price of the share / 2 shares in apple that you have
but shares are a medium to long term investment
only day traders care about volatility and short term fluctuations
so unless you have like 10,000 shares then your comments are meaningless
yes buy 10,000 shares at $150 and then sell them at $160 and make $100,000 in a day woohoo
but otherwise buy them at $10 in 2000 and sell them for $500 in 2020 and stop bleating on about them
unless you are trading your "share" daily then it doesnt matter what happens to the price, it all goes up eventually, even nokia, rim, microsoft etc all go up, sorry to tell you
and you criticise us for our "sources" and yet you expect us to log onto "topmuffin.com" for expert financial and technical commentary?!!
you said your links all come from google, yeh great thats only a search engine mate, none of your links are from extablished renowned sources, they all seem to just be peoples blogs and opinions, nothing credible

Daffy forgot to comment on the Brits stating that they cannot have a reasonable supply for weeks. I am quite happy about Apple's inept managment as I a posied for selling for equipment to the suppliers of IC's to fill the urgent orders that APple is making as their asses are hanging in the wind with Steve probably having an ass kicking contest.

Here is an intresting slant on the Apple hysteria.
To make matters worse, once the business was decimated by Microsoft, all the newcomers came from Asia—where marketing strategies boil down to best price. This strategy excludes the whole idea of advertising. I've been complaining about this trend for years, to no avail. So everything goes online where the game changes completely … except for one thing. Microsoft isn't advertising online much either. Do you ever see an ad from them? You see a lot of Dell and IBM and E-Trade. But hardly anything from Microsoft. Of course they are not getting the attention anymore, except for boring personal-interest stories about Bill Gates's retirement or Steve Ballmer's management style. Nothing is product-oriented except gripes about Vista. But I digress.
This sort of progressively narrowing vision affects newspapers too. Take a look at the sports page and tell me what you see. A very limited number of sports are covered. I don't mean you have to glamorize Australian football in the U.S. market. But what about boxing? This is a multimillion-dollar U.S. sports business, and it's hardly covered. So gyms that may have once advertised in a paper do not advertise at all. And the papers bitch about their situation.
So except for the few publishing areas that remain successful (such as motoring and fashion), the problem is not the Internet but the coverage. Unless the editors and writers stop fawning over one crummy company, the way they did with Microsoft and they're doing now with Apple, all that will be left will be one crummy company.
And, of course, I'll hear from someone at The Times or the Journal who will point out that they wrote about 600 different companies last year. Yeah, but they are all portrayed as wannabes when you put those articles next to a glowing review of the "revolutionary" iPhone combined with all the stories about Steve Jobs or idiots who wait in line for days to buy a phone. The real story is not the line but how these line-dwelling boneheads were convinced that it was important to be one of the first owners of such a device. What's the rush? What kind of peculiar prestige do they derive from it? It's baffling. But we don't get that analysis. Instead it is somehow cool—a "happening"—and it means the iPhone must be great.
I often wonder whether there would be any line at all if the media wasn't glorifying these dummies in the first place. You already know the answer.
I agree 100% with the article. The iPone still sucks as a phone. I like the OS features and plan on buy the iTouch as it has everythig except for the phone which sucks, the camera stills sucks too.
Do I need a GPS in Thailand? Sure I do, but I find that any screen on a phone is unusable to read a map off of when driving. I will have GPS options installed in the car at the time of purchase plus they also play DVD's and have rear-end cameras and I never get enough of looking at nice rear-ends and the iPhone cannot do that.

well, the official version is that he underwent a surgical procedure earlier this year, to address an issue that was causing him to lose weight, and that's why he looked so fatigued at the WWDC. In any case I wish him all the best, we need him to counterbalance the witless arrogance of the other Steve. I'm not going to delve in other people's health status, if only because out of respect for their families. All these comments here are really in poor taste and reflect badly on you guys. Once a clever BTF member told me: "....the only sad aspect of it all is that the (Thai) girls in town (Thailand) have to unfortunately deal with these guys on a more regular basis.". Hard to argue against that.

Sarge you should try dealing with Thai people on a regular basis, case in point is the Temple issue. f***ing sore losers they are. Where the spirit of giving is non-exisitant.
Anyhow it has been proven laughter is the best medicine and those that cannot find humor and take things too seriously will live a short life anyhow.
