Hi Rabbit,
The Big C I refer to is a big shopping mall with a super market called “Big C” attached, there may be other Big C super markets in Pattaya but if you ask anybody for directions they will always refer to that one.
It is located north end of Pattaya just past Soi 2 on Second Rd, on the right hand side of the road as you head north, you can only go north on 2nd Rd as it is one-way, it is right on the baht bus route but don’t ask the drive as he will charge you a lot more than 10B when he will be driving past anyway.
The only problem with baht busses is that they can deviate from the route and when travelling to Big C or the Sabai MP’s the bus may turn up Central Rd heading for Sumkumvit, this happens a lot if travel all the way from Jomtien so I just get off and catch another bus going the right way.

Orange as said is the first 30 seconds 2.5 baht then 1 baht per minute. No limitations at all. Plus with the 199 baht sim card you get 700 baht free calls. And per second billing.
Furthermore, if you don't top up with AIS within 7 days.. your simcard is a gonner. Orange gives you more than a month.
Orange has special features like transferring money between phones.
Except for better signal outside the major cities (I bet Phuket Town is good), I don't see any reason to use AIS or DTAC in Bangkok or major cities.
Typical call 15 minutes
AIS Freedom 15 x 2.5 = 37.50 baht
Orange 1 x 2.50 + 14.5 minutes x 1 = 17 baht
Freedom is cheap? At over twice the rate of Orange?
For me, a person who almost never leaves Bangkok, Orange rules!

Just look at them websites 12call and for that matter also grey-suited HappyD : a laughing stock... they can't even get that right let alone the rest
