I was referring to the network (read carefully next time) not about the costs.

1-2-Call is not the cheapest. But several tests with my phone and a friend's phone (DTAC) in remote places indicated that 1-2-Call has a stronger signal than DTAC.

Connectivity... that's what you need.

BTW If you register for Freedom Plus you know you get half the time of what is on the package. There's no need for AIS to print different covers for Freedom Plus and regular.

1 solution darling,

call your balance meter, after they tell you how many baht, they will also tell you expiry date.

if you top up your phone, the xpiry date will expand. not sure for how long, but remember it is about a 3 month period per 1'000 baht.

judging your sms ratio, your phoneline will expire in 2019 or so.

What on earth are you talking about man? The 'earlier poster' I was referring to was 'dougtr'

You post referred to AIS being the best network in Bkk (and the whole of Thailand).

I don't agree with that either. On Samui, I had to go outside my bungalow to get a decent signal on my One2Call mobile, whereas I had a full signal on my Dprompt.
In Pattaya my friend's One2Call signal was constantly breaking up as he walked around. No such problem with Dprompt.
With Dprompt, you can send and receive email via SMS without having to have GPRS or WAP. You cannot with One2Call.
Can you use MMS with One2Call? Not so sure..

I have three mobile telephones with me, with each of the networks.

Maybe, if someone is going 'off the beaten track' there may be some advantage with One2Call as to signal strength.
But, for the 'average Joe' it's a waste of money.

Lastly, you are wrong about "people knowing" that they get HALF the time when the register for Freedom Plus.
Not true, the half time only applies with the 300 baht refill. The other refills give you less than half the airtime.
Plus, of course you lose ALL of you previously accumulated airtime.

All this to simply match the STANDARD price of a HappyDprompt call.
That is confusion marketing. Have you looked at some of their other promotions?

So, 'best' seems to have a very narrow criteria for you. It seems to mean, 'best signal in remote places'. No?

Thanks for your advice, but I do read carefully and think before I write.

Cheers

Two months after the expiry date for One2Call.

Rezyek. I told you it's not necessary to carry a phone for each of your contact girlfriends.... Phone A for 'Khun Ae', Phone B for 'Bee'...

Valetinoxxx, your experiences... so be it.

Why I responded to yuor post? Because Mokewen decided to choose 1-2-Call based on my recommendation. Read also other relating threads to understand what's going on.

It is is true, however, that people have to register in order to get the Freedom Plus benefits. If you do that you have to read the conditions. I cannot imagine a company like AIS leaves these 'restrictions' out of their conditions. If they do, we have a good court case.

DrLove, a courtcase against AIS, in Thailand...? A good courtcase?
Will be interesting to see what the outcome will be. He is not my favourite but I bet that Mr. T. wins, at least his company. TIAT.
