Where can I get pre-paid phone cards in Bangkok for international calls for use on a street or hotel phone and how much are they? Most of my calls will be to the US and need less than 60 minutes. I looked through the posts, but couldn't find the information.

The last time I was in nana hotel there is a small gift shop beside the travel desk...you can buy them in there. I believe they come in up to 500 baht amounts. The nice thing is that directly in front of the gift shop there is a phone that accepts the card...don't remember the rates but it seemed like I talked forever to the States on it...well, maybe 20-30 minutes. Don't even try using the phone booths outside...they are serious hot boxes and you won't hear a damn thing anyway with the traffic noise. Do yourself a favor and buy it at the Nana hotel gift shop and use the phone outside it.

Any 7-11 or Mini-Mart type store sells the cards in various denominations. The can be used in designated phone booths around town.

Get the phone card in your country of origin. For my sprint card it is like 11 cents a minute to call home from LOS. Calling a thai cell phone from US costs 29 cents a minute.
