It was one of those days when I was getting too many calls, so I decided to have a bit of fun, redirect the calls (Call Divert) to the time service, 181. I am not sure if this will work with other systems, but with DTAC, you will get a message saying that the number is no longer registered.

This is probably a stoopid question but here goes nothin'. If you set your moble 'phone to divert to an international number who pays for the call?

Cheers

Not a stupid question, you pay for it! In fact, you will be paying for that local call as well.

This is getting interesting...

What I really would like is to combine a program like 'blacklist' that diverts specific callers to your voicemail... with this divert call to '181' which tells them my phone is no longer registered...

...Perfect...

..Dont suppose it is possible...

I just found out that it won't work with AIS though.

You could also set your Call Divert only when it's busy, so, it may ring a couple of time, and then they get that message. It's really great!

technically very much possible, but I have not seen a provider who offers it here in thailand yet. there are several in europe that offers you to add numbers to your blacklist. callers from this numbers will just get a "user not available" message but will not be able to get to your voice mailbox. just some sort of access list on the switches.

cheers
