I was in a club last night and I got a 'will you accept a connection from Kitty?' message on my phone. Of course I accepted it - well it seemed like a good idea at the time. And my phone installed something called 'caribe.sis' which is a virus that doesnt seem to do much other than try and replicate itself.
Great isnt it? First ever message I get via bluetooth.. and its a virus.
(PS can anyone tell me how to get rid of it - I have a nokia 6600)
There is a Removal Procedure at the end of the page.
It seems that using a Nokia 6600 you have not real problem though.
Btw, it is the one and only know virus on Symbian OS so you are a bit lucky coz in 20 years you would be proud to tell you kids you were one the very first to get hit ! But maybee they will not know what a Nokia is by this time !
Cheers,
EDIT:
Update. I was in MBK today to get some Games and other stuffs for the new Nokia Ngage I did buy to my ex-GF 2 days ago (Yes I know I am stoopid..)
Anyway, seeing her happy make me feel living in a better world. can't help it.
She did choose 3 Java games for 150 Bath. then we left and I had a last quick look at the games to make sure all were properly working.... Checked the Launch Manager and f_ck CARIBE.SIS was installed on it ! had to spend 10 Minutes to figure out how to erase the sh_t as it start the hook without any trouble on the Nokia Ngage as opposed to Abrak 6600.
