Does anybody know if there is a number here in Thailand that you can dial before you dial the number you want to block caller ID display, so that your number does not display at the end callers phone. I presume you can get it blocked from the supplier, but there should be a number you can also call to just block at certain times when you want to certain phones from time to time.

I have that facility on my phone....but every time I set it I can't get a line to make a call.....I think certain facilities are blocked on the pay as go go options.

This feature is normaly switch on or off on the phone.
In my case the option is under - "Settings" / "Phone" / "Send my caller ID" - Yes or No.

you might want to note that a LOT of locals just don't answer calls from numbers they don't recognize. This is often true (but not always... as I don't know them all) for working girls.

Why not buy another SIM card just to make phone calls. Only cost you 500 B or so.

I just got a mobile here and I noticed in the settings section where it is listed, that it then refers you to the service provider as this facility is set by the provider as either 'on' or 'off'. But what I am looking for is a number you can dial before the phone number to block that particular call you are making and then it does not show up on the other persons phone.
This service may not be available here in Los, but in Australia it is and I used it sometimes when required, it was quite handy, I think from memory the number was '1831' then the normal phone number and it worked like a charm.

Yup, it sounds like a feature provided by the service provider. Don't think they have it here, but let me know if you find out otherwise.
