My sim card has expired through non use. The booklet that came with it is in Thai. Their web page is in Thai but my computer wont recognise the script. I can't even find the part of the page where I can send them an e-mail ! Will I have to buy another sim card ? This is a pain as I have all my phone numbers on that sim. I could ring them when in Bangkok but I want to know if I can keep that number before I arrive there? Any answers ?

SIM is dead Save the numbers to your phone memory and transfer back to a new SIM. I doesn't die because of lack of use, it dies because of lack of purchase 'lifetime'. Mine is good for two years at the moment without making a call.

Why is yours good for two years ? Mine expired in less than a year last time. I have found the contact via the site through viewing the source code.

If you top up enough you can use it for 10 years.. BTW Screw 1-2 Call. I am using Orange now. THB 199 for sim... THB 700 baht free calls. Plus 1 baht per minute (20 hours per day). Plus per second billing. It expired on Oct 4, but still have, unlike 1-2-Call (7 days) until Nov 8 to top up (never topped up). Plus, you still can be called during this period. In Bangkok, use Orange! Typical call of 15 minutes, 10 seconds: (Standard rate, cross-operator or Sawadee) 1-2 Call 80 baht Orange 17.1 baht

My friend switched to Orange, and she can't send me any SMS with it (even though Orange claims international SMS support on their website). Is there some trick to enable international SMS with Orange, or is it hit or miss? I've been very happy with 1-2-Call, despite being more expensive. My card's also good until December 2006. Harry

You have to register (free) before sending International SMSs. Also you have to download a menu to your phone to send Thai sms. Easy support through the web. My ex-girlfriend has no problems sending Int. SMS. The services of Orange are quite good. Especially the possibility to transfer money between phones.
