Is there ny way to block a phone number in Thailand so the reciever does not know where I am calling from?? I will be in BKK and do not want my GF to know I am calling from..I will not have mobile so is there any numbers I can dial from a landline that will block the number..In USA you can just dial *69 before dialing and that will block your number and nobody will know where you are calling from..Can this be done in Thailand?

I guess u can buy a phone card (7/11 has some folders and perhaps sell those cards) then make some test calls (use phone cell) first of course to another friends phone or so, to check.
On that way your call is using the network of that phonecardcompany. Usually those providers hire their network capacity from fixed lines & satellite. I think that Caller ID's are not forwarded from public networks to dial computers in other networks.
Or go to the post office and use a public phone there.

But the best way is just use a mobile phone and switch off the sending of the caller ID.
Then again the efforts to hide your presence for your GF, could well trigger her instinct and it could well be that you suddenly meet her on some nightspots the human mind sometimes works as a receiver to ha ha specially those of TGF's.

I did this once..
I had a US calling card (The TGF thought I was in USA not japan). I used a local land line form internet cafe in BKK, Called the access number for the phone card, then fromthat entry point, called her mobile. It showed up on her phone as a US number.
No problem!!

AIS has a new service were you can block numbers and they will get a busy or not operating tone direct. Thier calls will never come to your phone.
