I assume you have a computer....
Just buy a data cable (Pantip) and upload yourself. There are also CDs available with 100's of ringtones. It all depends on the phone you have.
My Sagem phone accepts.wav files... very easy.

if you've got a nokia go to the nokia shop ( not sure where in bkk ) and ask them to put in the settings for wap, then you can browse mobile life and download ringtones for 15 baht.
the best and latest is the carrot song, yes a kiddy song about eating your veg, ask around
Pom ow carrot hai fahk
if thats what u want.
or keep the card that comes with your top up and ask any girl to download the tones.
just a few idea's.

Using the Nokia software (free from their webiste) almost any.mid file can be used as a ringtone. The ringtone composer will import the.mid and convert it.
