I have been using 1-2 Call SIMs for two years now (whenever fate takes me to Thailand). I used to buy them in MBK but this year I am going to Siem Reap first transiting through Bangkok. I would like to buy a 1-2 Call SIM right there and then because I need to use it right when I cross later on from Cambodia into Thailand at Poipet/Aranyaprathet. I am not sure if getting a SIM in Aranyaprathet is easy for someone who does not speak Thai. I would also prefer to get a Bangkok area phone number or is there no difference? Maybe someone has done this before? Any advice is appreciated.
My experience is you cannot buy a SIM card in transit. I couldn't even buy a 1-2-call top-up card anywhere in the transit area (you can get a top-up in the 7-11 on departures level.)
