Am travelling to Vegas and want to know if I can can get a usa sim card and put it in my Thai Nokia Phone while I am there. Prices would also help Please
I think that your mobile needs to be GSM1900 compatible (in addition to GSM900/1800 which is used in Thailand). What model phone do you have? (You can google the model and check the specs.) I use a Nokia 5100 (Asia version) which is GSM900/1800/1900.
With GSM1900 you can get a pre-paid SIM and top-up cards from Tmobile in many locations. It looks like they have coverage in Las Vegas. Nationwide minutes are approx. $0.25 per (twenty-five U.S. cents.) You also have to pay for the SIM? I think I paid ~ $100 for a SIM (~$50) and a $50 top-up card which gave me ~ 400 minutes. Minutes are good for 90 days. If you are making int'l calls then you might also consider a pre-paid calling card?
