Hi
Any body know if the thai goverment is restricting access to certain web sites? when I click onto one of my adult sites it redirects me to this
http://www.mict.go.th/ci/block.asp
and the site I am trying to get to is not at all dodgy whats going on?

Yes the government are blocking access to many 'immoral' sites, like porn (but usually only Asian related) and gambling.
Fairly simple to get round. There are threads in the Tech section about using Proxy Servers.
However if you are not that savvy with computers I suggest you go to http://www.thevirtualbrowser.com. You can type in any web site there and it will give you access. Probably only a matter of time before that site gets blocked though (esp as I have just named it here - Doh!!).
Other than that get a copy of Anonymizer 2005. $29.99 to download and worked fine for me. Easy to switch on or off.
I use True now and seem to be able to access sites that were previously blocked using dial up.

I tried the virtualbrowser before. But it seems to work occasionally and if it works it does its work not very good.
Just use a proxy: 216.148.244.69 port 8000 (marketscore). Free and easy (but slow at times).
Also if you're on True, the use of a proxy server is needed if you access BTF.
The proxy server of True has a habbit of collecting logins and distributing them into browsers of fellow members.

TY DL. Been asking for months how to get past net nanny on true (MSTAR) which blocks underwear & swimsuit sites.
Your proxy server works - for now.
Though why it takes this long I don't know. KSC use another filtering software at the behest of Big Brother i.e. The Thai Government.

Ah - thank you Dr. Love - I was wondering what was going on! Often when I try to Log in to BTF I am simply re-cycled back to the Login page, at other times I find the Login page is already filled with some other users name and password; so it's a problem with True?

I manage to get on to BTF using True without using a proxy, however l do get logged in as different members at times. One time l got logged in and l couldn't believe that a member would have saved 750+ Private Messages. 
I get the recycle to log-in page a lot and l've found the quick fix is to click on latest posts and access the forum that way.
Most free proxy servers don't last long. If you do a Google search on proxy servers you will find that even the links to some proxies are banned.

Yes, it's solely a True problem and I have discussed this with BK. I told him there is nothing he can do about it and it has nothing to do with the security of BTF (For the one who liked to change different fields of my profile).
Yes, FP, it's possible to login without a proxy server (not all the time, though). It sometimes throws you back to the login page as Old Hand explained.

Yes, that's a remedy. But sooner or later you get into trouble when you post.
The requirement of a proxy server is for smooth behaviour of BTF.
I have been using this proxy server for almost a year... stil alive. Marketscore is a dedicated proxy server service. It's kind of slow (usually 1000+ ms ping) but I use it seldom (only for BTF).
Update for FP... the PM list has grown to 812 messages. And I didn't save them, I just didn't delete them.
But with broadband they load in 4-5 seconds, so what does it matter?
So, remember, turn your proxy server before logging in. It reduces the chance that assholes (like myself) make misuse of your account.
It sometimes a hassle in IE to check if your proxy server is on already.
FireFox has a great extension for that (SwitchProxy) where you can visually see and change your proxy server from the status line.

Hi Guys,
I log on to the internet using KSC Net dial-up. And I see some messages appearing when I try to access some sex-oriented sites. something like "smartfilter categorises this site as " SEX". Is this because of the barring of asian sex sites? pls lemme know.
