The sexually frustrated and power hungry tyrants at IT have installed webblocker (http://www.watchguard.com/products/webblock.asp) on our server. This is blocking my access to this lovely forum during working hours.
Can any of the net-wizards here enlighten me on how to bypass this evil?

Just wait a coupla minutes and our resident anti-webblocker (AKA Babaganoosh) will be roaring in here to help yah.
Baba' is excellent value and really knows his stuff but before he arrives, you could busy yerself by readin' the other sim'lar threads in this section.

But maybe a proxy server on a less-than-standard port (3128, 8000) could do wonders.

What about having a friend/or you send a email to your home email address with all needed links attached. Then you access your home email from work (or where ever) go through your links in the email (your internet provider). I'm not a techy but this worked for me at the Conrad which has BTF blocked.

Guess if it worked for you, might work for others. Kinda depends on how savvy the network security team is to spot these types of loopholes.
Did a little research on somewhat similar concept a couple months back (anti-censorship purposes, of course). Found some "web-to-email" gateways that will pull a webpage you request and email it to you. Only had time to tinker a little with it. Maybe others can pick up the ball and test this out further.
