Can uk blocked mobile phones be unlocked anywhere in Bangkok or Pattaya?
Blocked as in reported lost and stolen.

you can unlock a USA phone BUT.......it needs to be GSM, so At+T or T-mobile and it needs to be quad-band,
You can look up the phone specs on google,
The GSM frequancy in the USA is not the same as the rest of the world, thats why you need to have the quad band phone.
Often AT+T or T-Mobile will give you the unlock code if you ask for it, just tell them you plan on using it overseas.....
you can buy a new cheap pre-paid phone for 1000 baht or so.

I think I will just get a cheap phone. When I lived there, I got a very cheap refurbished phone in Chinatown.

You can buy a basic new Nokia/Samsung in MBK for around 1000-1200 Baht. Don't even bother buying a second hand one!

blocked as in lost/stolen are only blocked on UK networks,
off the plane insert sim works fine
