most modern laptops are set up for both voltages, look in your owners book, or look on your charger, most chargers say 110v-240v a USA 2 prong plug will work in BKK at most places

If you stay at a more upscale hotel in Bangkok, they probably will have the flat, 2-port power outlet (100/110V) available in your room. Standard in Thailand however is 220V, round prong outlets. For safety sake, and to ensure you don't have problems trying to plug in your laptop in to Thai outlets, I'd recommend getting some sort of international traveler's electrical adapter and surge protection kit. I have a EuroSurge (220V rated) and that thing saved my cookies on more than one occassion while in BKK and Pattaya. See URLs below for details.
