FYI...
I was in Thailand last month, and unfortunately, had to fund my Poker account; I had no problems and this is done from my bank account.
Well... as Budda would have it, I lost and tried to fund again; only this time, an error message said that I was not allowed to fund from this country!
I called the poker site and they said that they made a decision not to allow any more transactions from non-Industrialized countries... Philippines included.
Sucks.
End of story.
P.S. Why was I in Thailand and playing online poker?.. answer: "boxing" with TGF! Hehe.

Surprised their not interested in thai business, I know Ladbrokes at least have a thai language site now.

Not true.
ANY Internet from Thailand, Philippines, etc. will be picked up as "just" that... and it is not allowed on some online poker sites now.
Do you really believe that, aside from an Embassy (maybe), your connection does not read the country from which you are connected?

I tried to use my Betfair acc when last in Bkk, no way, just said the site cannot be accessed from this country. Strange I can use it in Malaysia and Singapore but not Thailand.

Thats correct. Many sites wont allow connection from Thailand isp. I use Poker room, and while you can connect from thailand I cant deposit or withdraw funds from a Thailand isp. I get around this with a proxy server ( I use sshadow broswer). So, I can keep playing and winning. Interestingly, only some sites, not all have this issue.
