everything EXCEPT 1900 we even have CDMA here (for BKK area) but 1900 is almost strictly N. American

Just for your information, 1900 is also in use here with Thai Mobile. Not too successful and the company is in obvious financial difficilties. If I remember correctly, supposed to be a JV between TOT and CAT or something like that. Anyway, would probably recommend to stick with AIS or DTAC or True for decent service over here. -VS

WiMax deals with WiFi - and wants to mostly replace most current WiFi protocols. It is a wireless Metropolitan Area Network technology. We are discussing 3G, which is centered around mobile telephony. You must be thinking of WiBro. Regardless, the discussion and question was about technology that exists right now.
