Strange, but my Nokia 6610 with 12Call SIM card now works on Cingular's network in USA. I called my Thai number from here in USA and it rings. Curious about rates and how to recharge from here.

you wont get very far on roaming charges thats a given 
but at least you can receive free sms then right...

You can send them an email asking for current rates: callcenter@ais.co.th
If my memory is correct, it was about 70 baht a minute for incoming calls. If you do not answer and they go to voice mail, there is no charge. And if you have One-2-call, you can receive SMS but not send. (you can use http://mobilelife.co.th to send).
