I'm looking for a PDA with phone that runs windows applications Excel/word. I currently have a phone and PDA. The PDA is to keep daily data about my Diabetes. Anyone have such a device or recommendations.

I agree, you know what they need is a PDA that has a phone you can slide into it and out. Gives you the PDA function with a phone but when you just want a small phone you have that option. Pull it out and just take the phone. bimmher

Brocher, it does feel bulky the frist couple of days, after that, you get used to it. The good thing is that you get all the functions a normal phone gives you plus the PDA functions. Putting in miind that if you are looking for a small phone/PDA device, the i-mate jam is your option (although I don't recommend it much coz it kept hanging when I used it so I swithced to the iPAC)

You're correct about the facilities of the PDA. Also this beast has a bigger screen than the Smartphones so you can watch movies or just have a better experience surfin' the net. The screen these days should really be VGA though. If you're doin' lotsa spreadsheets, word processin' etc., then you'll be happier with a PDA's bigger screen, a la your iPac thingy. I'm happy with my wee mobile 'phone as I plan on leavin' my PDA at home whilst out on the razzle. That's why I'm tryin' to get a Zaurus. Also the PDA 'phone can be a bit of a thief magnet, especially if your a bit worse for wear! Cheerio

Sorta like if you have a PDA with Bluetooth either built in or on a CF card and a mobile 'phone with bluetooth. Keep the 'phone in your pocket and take the PDA with you as you need. Cheerio
