I have a wireless network in my house and run 2 PCs on it surfing the net via IPstar. These are in another room in my house so what I really want is a PDA sort of thing that will browse the net but mainly be able to run Yahoo messenger. I just want a little portable devise so I don't have to get off my arse to answer the messenger all the time, and I don't want another bloody PC. I was looking at Blackberry but they are just GPRS with no WIFI conectivity, but I do like the keyboard feature Any ideas Bash

I've got a fujitsu/seimens Pocket LOOX that has WIFI and connects to my home WIFI and I can also get to any free WIFI but it only has MSN messanger I have not yet found a copy of Yahoo messanger that will work on the windows pocket pc OS. If you know where a copy resides would love the URL. Mine also has outlook, IE, Word, Excel, notebook so I can check mail etc. I'm told that there is a free WIFI access at landmark if you use the coffee shop. 18 days 10 hours to wheels down

I don't think you will get "everything" that you want, 'specially the Yahoo thingy! The Dell, Asus and Fugitsu-Siemens equivalents are all very good high-end equipment but none have a keyboard which can be a problem if your typing lotsa emails and I don't think you can access Yahoo messenger on them. You could buy an add-on keyboard but then it's a hassle to balance all that on the arm of a sofa! Looks like a compromise is in order ol' chap! Cheerio PS: Have you finished readin' that PM I sent you yet?

======================================== Always helpful Dr Lub......not ======================================== I am not quite sure what your babbling about, but for me another reason to believe you should keep your trap shut about things you have no knowledge of. A Pocket PC is a sortlike PDA with enhanced functions and should be able to run all Windows programs including messengers.
