Guys,before year or so I lived in Chiangmai.It was possible to call int calls from mobile phones on the street.The price was about 10 Bath for minute.Any idea about "spots" like this in BKK?I'm tired to pay lot of money and use internet sux connection.

Good meeting you the other night.
Most local markets (like the stalls outside supermarkets/malls etc) usually have mobile's for use(2-3b/m, local), I'm sure with a bit of Thai, you could get them to go International.
Universitis also tend to have alot - that way you can scan the scenery while your chatting to ....
Once you find a place, indicate to them that you'll be a regular, things will then be sweet.

I've found around the universities is where to get real cheap calls....the best example I can give you is Ramkhamhaeng soi 24.....lots of different people......it's a bit of a rambling soi....if you go down it from Thanon Ramkhamhaeng...(I think there's a 7-11 on the corner - SHOCK HORROR)...go to the bottom and it turns right (sort of T junction now with big new road)...once you turn right going parrallel to the main road there are lots of sub sois on the right side (university on the left)......in those sub sois....Internet 10B half an hour...international calls 10B a minute......some great cheap food places around here too.....and cute students as well.

Just amn after thought rami.....
The area at Ramkhamhaeng I suggested is a residential area where all the students live.....very cheap condo's, rooms etc. I'm not sure that Chulalongkorn has the same scene with it being a more exclusive University....but give it a go...has to be something going on......even if you miss out on the calls....LOL

I pay 16 baht a minute but its a direct connection . None of those terrible internet calls . I use a place on the 2nd floor of Times Square on Sukhumvit . Its a bit more than 10 baht a minute but its the best place Ive found for making calls ........
