I know that Thailand ISP block access to certain sites. Here is a trick to perhaps access sites otherwise blocked by a firewall:

http://www.google.com/translate?langpair=en|en&u=http://bkkx.com/cgi-bin/forum/index.cgi

This should get you access to this forum. Just replace the "http://bkkx.com/cgi-bin/forum/index.cgi" with the URL you wish to access.

I haven't tried it in BKK yet. I will next week when I am there.

If http://www.google.com is blocked by the firewall, you can try google.co.uk, google.co.jp or any of the other google sites.

I guess graphics don't get translated to english.

You might try a google image search and then see if they have a cached copy of any image you are interested in. Just a thought.

Considering the problems with the graphics, proxies are perhaps a better solution.

But the downside is that it will take you a while to find a good one which let you get unrestricted access.

Most of them are slow or don't even respond. And if they work, they are probably be dead the next day.

Anyway, proxies at http://proxy4free.com (don't use 'www' if you're in Thailand).

BTW BTF'ers in Thailand, if you have problems with logging into BTF (True) use this proxy: 203.150.27.133 port 8080.

I think True block diffrent sites for diffrent package. My friend pays 500 THB a month he can not see this forum. I have a office I have no problem but I can not see adultfriendfinder.com no more. But alt.com is ok. True has no launched a NEW service for ONLY 50 THB you can have them block all xxx sites. I want to pay them 50/month NOT to block me!

Adultfriendfinder appears to be blocked and even with the proxy above, it was still blocked. My gf tried all the other Thailand roxies (I am out of the country) on the free proxy site with same result. She uses one of those dial-up access accounts. Anyone else facing this?

The Cyber Inspector is getting to know the tricks.

What usually was succesful with a port 8000 proxy now fails.

However, adultfriendfinder is still reachable with the proxy mentioned (on TRUE that is).

However, other sites like asianthumbs.org are still blocked on this proxy.
