1. you can have two numbers on the same SIM card.... I guess it is the AIS Mia Noi Plan.
2. Take your SIM card in and they will print all you phone numbers for you
3. They will also store all your phone numbers on their system, and if you lose your SIM, reinstate them on your new SIM. (That has always been my greatest fear regarding losing my phone...the numbers, f*** the hardware)
4. they will also email that to you.
5. One of the girls in the AIS had a perfect CG look.

I had try to use 2 numbers on one sim but had encounter many problem as many time my number is out of service. This was around in Jan.2006. Now maybe AIS have work out the kinks in their system.

I back upo my phone to my computer about once a month and then email the file to myself.
If I loose my phone then I have a copy of my phonebook in my mail accessable from almost anywhere and is a piece of cake to restore at a good phone shop anywhere if they have the file.
This is easy with Nokia I have never used any other make but do know that if your phone can connect to a computer via cable/blutooth.ir then it is possible with the correct software to back up to a computer.
Software normally comes with the phone.

CG and myself have both failed to find SIM card readers in Bangkok.....sure they are here somewhere, but nowhere I have asked.

instead of a sim card reader... if you have the postpaid sims (DTAC Maximize or AIS GSM) ask them for an extra sim - quite cheap - it will hold your same number and then do the simple copy to phone memory and then back to the sim again...
or if you have a old nokia phone (or rather a beatup 1 year old one) like I do; just save it to its phone memory every once and awhile...
