It's a bit plasticky but makes a hell of a noise when triggered. Of the three modes the one I expect to use on tour is the door chime mode. In this mode the alarm unit sounds a musical tone when disturbed, e.g. when attached to a door. However, if I put the alarm in my luggage, it will sound and wake me if anyone decides to have a rummage in the middle of the night.
Also the personal attack alarm might be useful with the alarm unit in my bag and the rip-cord attached to my belt to deter or draw attention to street theves.
No personal interests in the device or the suppliers, just thought it might give a bit more peace-of-mind and sleep a little easier.
